Tropical Equipment Sales & Leasing, Inc. has been in business since 2001.  It is an employee owned and operated business that is located in the small town of Glen St. Mary, Florida.  ​

Prior to 2001, the business was part of a national company that produced  bagged ice and bottled water.  In 1996, that company decided to expand the ice business by leasing icemakers to restaurants and convenience stores.  A division was formed to handle day-to-day operations for the leased icemakers and was so named the "Leasing Division".  Approximately five years later, the national company decided to sell the "Leasing Division" of the company.  After some discussion, the employees of this division decided to purchase the assets and customer base of the company.  In July 2001, the sale was finalized and Tropical Equipment Sales & Leasing, Inc was established.  Today, the company is still owned and operated by the employees that worked in the business 12 plus years ago.​

Since 2001, we have expanded our services to include sales to residential customers and chain account leasing in Florida and Georgia.  We sell icemakers nationwide and lease Manitowoc and Hoshizaki icemakers in Florida and Southeast Georgia.  We have factory-authorized technicians for Manitowoc and Hoshizaki brand icemakers and we service Florida and Southeast Georgia.
